Rick Bolinde

New CFO Global Talk

Hengelo (NL), 4 October 2023

Rick Bolinde (36) has started as CFO of Global Talk in September. Bolinde looks forward to this new adventure in the interpreting business. “My first impression of the organization and its people is very positive. I am excited to work together and help Global Talk move forward.”

Before coming to Global Talk, Rick was working as Group Controller at CIMC Enric Tank & Process and before that he worked for The Learning Network and Deloitte The Netherlands. He made a conscious choice to transition to Global Talk; “I found the conversations with Global Talk very positive and enjoyable. This is a great organization with people who are proud of the work they do. For me personally this is an interesting and logical step in my career. Like Global Talk, I am full of ambition and like to move forward. That’s why we are a good match”, says Rick.

Astrid van Rossum, CEO of Global Talk, is happy that he is strengthening the team of directors. “Rick has made a very positive impression in our conversations and I believe he is a great match for Global Talk, both professionally and as a person. He completes our team of directors and we are now at full capacity to shape the growth that we are achieving.”

Global Talk is growing

Adding Bolinde as CFO fits the growth that Global Talk is currently experiencing. Global Talk is rising gradually across the Nimdzi Interpreting Index, where interpreting service providers are ranked by their provision of interpreting services. With a turnover of almost fifty million euros in 2022, Global Talk currently takes the ninth position worldwide and second position in Europe.

Via Global Talk, interpreters and culture specialists work on location, via video or via telephone. They work for the public sector, like municipalities, ministries, investigation services or justice departments, as well as for companies and international congresses. Global Talk also provides customized services next to the interpreting services, for example with apps that Global Talk has developed together with companies in different countries.

One example is the Global Talk Care app, a multilingual communication app for Flemish healthcare. With this app, a health care professional can ask questions and give instructions to their patient in twelve languages. If necessary they can connect with an interpreter with one press of a button, without having to consult a call center.
